AMY HANDFIELD is a visual artist with a focus in painting and bookmaking. She received a B.S. in Studio Art from Skidmore College (May, 2000) where she studied under artists such as David Miller and Margo Mensing. Handfield completed her M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Art at Goddard College (January, 2005) working with artists Peggy Diggs, Gale Jackson, and Cynthia Ross. Her work has been exhibited in the 2005 City University of New York, Bronx Community College Faculty Exhibition, the Eliot Pratt Library in Plainfield (2003-2005), Vermont, the 2000 Thesis Exhibition at Skidmore College, and the Summer-Six Salon Exhibitions at Skidmore College in 1998 and 1999. Amy Handfield currently teaches in the Art and Music Department at Bronx Community College of the City University of New York. She lives and creates in Astoria, New York.
